All of our solid oak coffee tables are hand made and so are individual and unique. With this style coffee table, we have used 9" x 5" (23 x 13cm) oak beams for the bases and 9" x 2.5" (23 x 6cm) solid oak boards for the top, making this a new and innovative take on an old style square coffee table. Dependent on the temperature of the home and the dryness of the air the oak beams may crack and split further to add extra character to this solid oak table. This particular coffee table has a dark oak stain with a hard wax finish. It is available in 2 different standard sizes but we are able to make almost any size you wish; just contact us for a price. This style of coffee table also looks effective, if a larger size is needed, as a 4 oak board version.

Please note that the knots, shakes and splits are an integral part of the design on this coffee table and further splitting may occur in the months ahead. Because of the weight of these solid oak tables, and to make it easier for shipping and moving, we despatch unassembled, the top boards merely locate onto pegs fixed in the base beams of the coffee table.
