Placing an Order
Orders may be placed via our website at www.home-furnishing-direct.co.uk or by telephone through our Customer Service Team. Once your order has been submitted, you will receive an email confirmation detailing the items ordered and pricing, along with a separate confirmation from the payment provider.
If we are unable to accept your order, we will contact you as soon as possible. This may occur if an item is discontinued, temporarily unavailable, incorrectly described or priced, or if payment authorisation is unsuccessful.

Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP (£). Customers may also choose to view prices in USD or EUR via the currency selector on our website. Payment is usually made by debit or credit card. We also accept PayPal, bank transfer, and cheque. Payments by cheque or bank transfer must be made in GBP sterling. Please do not send cash through the post.
The price shown at the time of purchase is the final price paid. If an item is later discounted, we are unable to refund the difference. Prices shown in currencies other than GBP may vary slightly depending on exchange rates applied by your bank or card provider.

Payment Security
All payment details are processed securely. We use trusted payment providers, including PayPal and Opayo, both of which employ advanced encryption technology. Card payments can also be taken securely over the telephone if preferred.
For bank transfer payments, our banking details will be included in your order acknowledgement. Orders will not be processed until cleared funds are received. Any bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender.

Taxes and Import Duties
Any taxes, duties, or charges imposed outside the United Kingdom are the responsibility of the purchaser. If such charges are refused, any costs incurred for return shipping or re-importing goods into the UK will be charged to the customer.

Dispatch Times
We aim to dispatch orders as promptly as possible. However, during busy periods, high demand, or due to manufacturing constraints, delays may occur. For this reason, please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
All handmade furniture is produced to order and typically requires around four weeks from order confirmation. Special or bespoke items may take longer depending on complexity. Special-sized throws, cushions, and similar items may take up to three weeks during busy periods.
If you require an order for a specific date or occasion, please contact us before placing your order so we can advise on current lead times.

Sizes and Colour Variations
Due to the nature of the materials used, all sizes are approximate and subject to normal manufacturing tolerances. Every effort is made to represent products accurately in our photography; however, colours may appear slightly different depending on monitor settings.
Fabric batches can vary, and exact colour matching between separate orders cannot always be guaranteed. When ordering multiple items of the same design together, we usually make them at the same time to ensure the closest possible match.
Natural materials such as cowhide are inherently unique. Variations, markings, and blemishes are natural characteristics and are not considered faults. If you are unsure about colour or texture, we recommend requesting a fabric sample before placing an order.
Product names are descriptive only and do not imply an exact match to similarly named items from other suppliers.

Delivery Addresses
Please ensure that the delivery address provided is suitable for signature delivery. Couriers do not deliver to PO Box addresses. A contact telephone number is required in case of delivery issues.
Couriers will attempt delivery up to three times. If delivery is unsuccessful, the parcel may be returned to us. Any additional return or re-delivery costs will be charged to the customer or deducted from any refund.
Incorrect or incomplete address details may result in additional delivery charges.

Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated separately based on weight and volume. We charge only the actual cost of carriage and often absorb part of this cost ourselves. Ordering multiple items may not significantly increase delivery charges.

Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order, please notify us as soon as possible and confirm cancellation in writing by email. Orders for special or bespoke items cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.
We reserve the right to deduct any non-refundable payment processing fees unless the cancellation is initiated by us.

Returns and Refunds
If goods arrive damaged or incomplete, please notify us immediately. Items must be returned within seven days in unused condition and, where possible, in original packaging for a full refund.
In exceptional circumstances, non-faulty items may be accepted for return at our discretion. Shipping costs will be deducted from any refund or credit. We must be notified of your intention to return goods within three working days of delivery.
Special or bespoke items are non-returnable. Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until safely received by us. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method. Refunds for bank transfer payments will be made by cheque.
We strongly recommend using insured and tracked return services. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.
