Before placing your order, please read through our terms and conditions.

Placing an Order: Placing an order can be through our website www.home-furnishing-direct.co.uk by following the prompts or either telephoning one of our Customer Service Team on 0044 (0)1773531753.  Upon placing your order we will automatically email confirmation of the item/s ordered, price, etc., and you will also receive a separate email direct from the payment processors. If there are reasons we are unable to accept your order, we will contact you as soon as possible.  This would be, if an item had become discontinued, or was going to be out of stock for some time, a description or price was incorrect or the payment processors were unable to obtain authorisation of your payment.

Pricing & Payment: Our pricing is £ sterling but for our overseas customers there is the option of the US dollar and the Euro, these options are in our drop down box on our website.  Payment is usually by credit card or debit card.  There are also a number of other payment options available to customers, including Paypal, Bank transfer or cheque. Any payment made by either cheque or bank transfer must be in £GBP sterling. Please do not send any monies through the post for orders. The price displayed at the time of purchasing is the price you pay; if that item becomes discounted we are unable to reimburse the difference. Prices displayed in currencies other than £GBP sterling may vary slightly depending on your bank/credit card companies exchange rates at the point of placing the order.

Security: You can be assured that any information you offer whilst paying for your order is completely secure. We offer both PayPal and SagePay for processing credit/debit cards; both of which use highly sophisticated encryption. We are also able to process your credit/debit card payment verbally over the telephone if you prefer.  If you choose Bank Transfer as your preferred payment option, you will receive an order acknowledgement which includes our bank information. Please note that no order will be processed until payment is received, and any costs involved in transferring funds are the responsibility of the sender.

Taxes & Duties: If there are any taxes or duties applicable to any products, other than those imposed in the United Kingdom; they are the responsibility of the purchaser. If you refuse to pay those duties or taxes applicable to your own country or state, as may be requested by your government, any shipping costs incurred by goods being returned to ourselves, or import duties and costs back into the UK, is your responsibility.

Despatch Time: 
Although every attempt is made to despatch your order as soon as possible, sometimes due to seasonal pressures, high demand for particular lines or manufacturing challenges, there may be extended delays. For these reasons we ask that you allow up to 28 days for delivery. If you have a specific occasion (Birthday, Christmas, etc) that you require your order for, please contact us before placing an order to confirm our delivery schedules. All of our hand-made furniture is produced to order and will take on average 4 weeks to produce from confirmation of order. 'Specials' may take slightly longer dependent on the complexity of the design. Special sized throws, cushions, etc., can be up to 3 weeks delivery at busy times. You are welcome to check stock levels with us before placing an order. If the delivery date is important, please check with us before placing the order; but we will always do what we can.

Sizes & Colour:  Please note that due to the nature of the materials used all sizes specified are only approximate; although every effort is made to produce within acceptable manufacturing tolerances. We take great care to try to represent our products as closely as possible to real life through our photographs. However, because we have no control of the monitors or way in which people view our website, the actual goods may vary slightly in colour to how they have been viewed online. There can also be colour differences between batches of fabric and so we cannot always guarantee exactly the same colour match of either faux fur or linings between multiple items. When multiple items of the same design are ordered we almost always produce those items specifically to ensure colour match rather than taking from stock. Materials such as cowhide and timber are completely natural and therefore each one/piece will be totally unique. Cracks/splits/knots in timber is completely intentional, and further cracking may occur during the life of the piece. Small blemishes may also be present in cowhides, patchwork cowhide rugs and cowhide footstools, these are natural blemishes and not generally considered to be a fault. If in doubt about suitability of colour of our faux fur throw designs, it may be better to request a small cutting of fabric to see first- hand the quality and shade. It is not always advisable to purchase cushion covers and throws in the same design separately as the shade could vary slightly, and we are always reviewing designs and often making subtle changes. The names that we give to our products and designs are not intended to be a true representation of any specific animal; and our ‘Leopard’ design will almost certainly not be the same as a product from a different supplier with a product of the same name.

Delivery Addresses: Please ensure when giving us a delivery address that it is one where a courier can obtain a signature. It may sometimes be more convenient for yourselves to give a works, relatives or neighbours address for delivery. We also request that you always specify your postcode. If wrong delivery information is given it may result in additional shipping charges being passed on. A telephone contact is always requested and necessary to complete your order; this is mainly in the event of problems arising with either your order or our nominated carriers having difficulty locating the delivery address. The various international carriers we use will not deliver to PO Boxes. Couriers will make up to 3 attempts to deliver your order; if after that time delivery has been unsuccessful, the consignment may be returned to us. In those instances additional return carriage costs are incurred and will be passed on or deducted from any refunds. If we are then requested by you to attempt to re-deliver we reserve the right to request the additional delivery costs incurred. 

Delivery charges:  Unfortunately, delivery costs are part of everyday life; and becoming a significant cost with such high oil prices. There are companies who will tell you that shipping is free; of course very little in this world is free and so we keep our selling prices as low as we can but add shipping as a separate cost. We only charge the actual cost to us of carriage, and in many cases absorb some of the cost ourselves. The delivery charge is calculated by a combination of weight and volume, so you will find that you could order several items and still only pay a very small carriage charge.
 

Cancellations:  If you wish to cancel an order, please let us know as soon as possible, a written confirmation via e-mail will also be needed. No order for specials may be cancelled once production has commenced.

Returns & Refunds:  If any of our products arrive damaged, or parcels in the consignment missing, please notify us as soon as possible. We will request that you then return them to us within a 7 day period for a complete refund. The items must be in perfect unused condition and packed carefully, preferably in their original packaging, when returned to us. Although we do not send out goods on an approval basis, we accept that under exceptional circumstances some customers may have a need to return goods even though they are not faulty in any way. In these instances we may, at our total discretion, offer a full refund for the goods in question; although all shipping costs will be deducted from any refund or credit offered. We must be notified of the intention to make a return within 3 working days of the order being signed for. All goods remain the responsibility of the customer until received back at our premises in their original, unused, condition. This offer does not apply to any 'special' items such as specifically made furniture items to customer’s requirements, throws or cushions that have been made which are not in our standard range. If goods need to be returned we ask that you notify us first, particularly furniture items so that we can suggest the easiest method. Please note that if a refund is required it will be processed using the original method of payment. If a customer cancels an order or returns an unwanted item that was originally purchased by credit card, we reserve the right to deduct the original card processing costs levied by the card processor when the order was placed. If original payment was by bank transfer any refund will be by cheque.

We advise that goods are returned by recorded delivery or special delivery or carrier and that the items are insured. We cannot be held responsible for any returned goods that are lost or damaged in transit. We cannot refund goods that are not returned to us.  Sender would have to make their own claims against the carriers for this.  The sender is also responsible for the postage/carrier costs for returns.

Conformity of Goods: We take every care to ensure that descriptions and specifications of our products are correct at the time of publishing. However, descriptions any specifications of products on our website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description. As previously explained, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by browser software, or computer and monitor settings and systems used to view the products.

Limitations of Liability and Disclaimer: Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members, agents, directors or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation. To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of Home-Furnishing-Direct or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

The limitations of liability in these conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of Home-Furnishing-Direct and any other associated company of Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C.

While Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk attempts at all times to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, no warranty is given as to its accuracy or completeness and Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use of such information. While The Company (Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C) takes all reasonable steps to ensure a reliable, fast and trouble-free service, it does not guarantee that your use of this website will be interruption or error free and will not be responsible for any disruption, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system. These terms and conditions only cover the website operated by Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk. Any other  sites which link to this site may be governed by different terms and conditions of which we have no control. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of such websites.

The entire liability of Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C under or in connection with any contract for any products to which these conditions apply shall not exceed the price of the products, except as expressly provided in these conditions.

Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of these terms and conditions or any other contract with you by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the products ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C may transfer or assign any of its rights or sub contract any of its obligations under these terms and conditions to a third party. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions except with the specific permission in writing of Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk/Mister C.

No person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Nothing in these conditions is intended nor shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be legally excluded.

Email Addresses:  Many people have anti-spam software installed on their computers to prevent floods of emails. However, we have had occasion when it has been difficult to contact a customer when necessary and for them to receive automated emails regarding their order etc. We ask that you ensure that your computer does not block our email addresses.

Data Protection:  We would never release your personal details to other companies or individuals. Names, addresses and contact details are only retained for the purposes of ongoing marketing activities. No payment, credit/debit card details, Paypal or bank account information is retained by Home-Furnishing-Direct.co.uk
